This Privacy Policy explains how Bodycade handles information when families use the Bodycade mobile application, website and related support services.

Our core privacy promise

Bodycade uses the device camera to recognize game movements in real time on the device. Camera frames are not recorded, saved, uploaded to Bodycade or shared with third parties.

1. Who we are

Bodycade is an active-play game for children and families. In this policy, “Bodycade,” “we,” “our” and “us” refer to the developer and operator of the Bodycade app and bodycade.app. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@bodycade.app.

2. Information used by the app

Camera and movement processing

Bodycade requests access to the front-facing camera so the app can detect movements such as jumping, leaning and reaching and translate them into game actions. Camera input is processed during play on the user’s device. Bodycade does not use camera input to identify a player, create a facial-recognition profile or build a biometric identity profile.

If camera permission is declined or withdrawn in device settings, camera-controlled gameplay will not function. The permission can be changed at any time through the device’s privacy settings.

Information Bodycade does not collect from child players

The core play experience does not require a child account. Bodycade does not ask child players for their name, email address, phone number, precise location or contacts. The app does not provide public profiles, chat or user-generated-content sharing. It does not use behavioral advertising or sell personal information.

Information provided by parents or other adults

If a parent or other adult contacts us, joins a playtest or requests support, we may receive the information they choose to provide, such as their name, email address, message and relevant support details. Please do not send photos, videos or other sensitive information about a child unless we specifically request it and provide an appropriate consent process.

Website and operational information

When someone visits bodycade.app, our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. We use this information to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website—not for behavioral advertising.

App stores and purchases

Apple and Google process app downloads and any store purchases under their own privacy policies. If Bodycade offers paid content, we may receive limited transaction information such as the product purchased, subscription status, country or region and a store-generated transaction identifier. We do not receive full payment-card details from the app stores.

3. How we use information

To provide camera-controlled gameplay and app functionality.
To respond to support, privacy and playtest requests from adults.
To maintain security, prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical issues.
To administer purchases, restore entitlements and comply with legal obligations.
To improve Bodycade using information that does not identify a child.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information:

To hosting, email, security and support providers that process it only to perform services for Bodycade and are required to protect it.
To Apple or Google when needed to deliver purchases, subscriptions, refunds or app-store functionality.
When reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse or defend legal rights.
As part of a merger, financing, acquisition or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and continued protection.

Before adding any SDK or provider that processes personal information from children, we review whether it is appropriate for a child-directed service and whether additional notice or verified parental consent is required.

5. Children’s privacy

Bodycade is designed for children ages 5–12 with a parent or guardian responsible for installation, permissions and purchases. We minimize data collection and design the core game so children can play without providing personal information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without the notice and verifiable parental consent required by applicable law. If we learn that such information was collected without appropriate authorization, we will delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask whether we hold personal information about their child, request access or deletion, or refuse further collection.

6. Retention and deletion

Camera frames: processed transiently on the device and not retained by Bodycade.
Support and playtest correspondence: retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations.
Website security logs: retained for the limited operational period used by our hosting and security providers, unless needed longer to investigate an incident.
Purchase records: retained as needed to provide purchased access, handle disputes and satisfy accounting or legal requirements.

Bodycade currently does not require an app account. If you have a Bodycade profile or have supplied information to us, you can request deletion of your profile, account and associated data at bodycade.app/privacy/delete-request.

If account creation is introduced, Bodycade will also provide an account-deletion option inside the app.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No system is completely secure, but we limit collection and access, use protected service providers and delete information when it is no longer needed.

8. International processing

Bodycade and its service providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and honor applicable privacy rights.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Bodycade’s features or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how previously collected personal information is used, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required.

Parents and other users can contact Bodycade at hello@bodycade.app or through the Bodycade contact page. Please use the subject “Privacy Request” and do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
